Realme India CEO Madhav Sheth in an interview with GSMArena said that Realme would enter new consumer categories in H2 2022 and launch at least four new products in India. This will also include a sub-Rs 15,000 5G smartphone, which according to Madhav Sheth, is a “much-needed addition especially ahead of India’s 5G rollout expected to happen in the second half of 2022”.

Realme India’s CEO also shared that the brand will enter 2-3 new categories in the ‘consumer durable segment,’ and he told the publication that the company would share more details about this shortly. Further, the shipments of Relame handsets will be smoother in the second half of 2022 as the global crisis of chipset shortage has slowly started to fade.
During the launch of the Realme’s 9 series, the chipset shortage loomed over the head of the company like the mythical sword of Damocles, and the lineup arrived earlier this year instead of its originally planned 2021 debut. Now that the brand says smoother smartphone shipments in the second half of 2022, we could witness the upcoming Realme 10 series launch before October 2022 – during/ahead of the Diwali festival season sales.
Recently, Realme launched its first monitor, the Realme Flat Monitor, alongside the Realme Pad X and a slew of IoT products: Realme Watch 3 smartwatch, Realme Buds Air 3 Neo TWS, and Realme Wireless 2S neckband. And now, with the brand planning to enter 2-3 new consumer categories, launch an under Rs 15,000 5G smartphone in H2 2022, and Realme 10 series’ launch later this year, the year 2022 is looking strong for Realme.
