- Realme Watch smartwatch could launch in India later this month
- It will feature a square-shaped display like the Apple Watch
Realme Watch is all set to launch in India soon as the company’s India CEO, Madhav Sheth has begun teasing the smartwatch’s arrival on Twitter. The promotional video reaffirms the Realme Watch will have a square display, as teased previously in a Q&A episode of ‘AskMadhav’ on YouTube back in March. However, Realme Watch India launch date hasn’t been revealed just yet, but it is likely to happen later this month. The launch may even coincide with the China launch on May 25th where the company is expected to announce as many as eight new products.
Recently, the Realme Watch renders, features, UI and key specifications surfaced online. It is expected to flaunt a 1.4-inch LCD display with 320 X 320 pixels resolution and Realme branding is visible below the screen. The smartwatch is said to pack a 160mAh battery and is claimed to last seven days with 24-hour heart rate monitoring. It has the charging pins on the back and there is a single button on the right spine which can be used to lock and unlock. The smartwatch is tipped to have IP68 rating for water and dust-resistance.
The Realme Watch will connect via Bluetooth 5.0 through the companion Realme Link app and it will also have features like heart rate monitor, blood oxygen sensor and an accelerometer. Rumours suggest the watch won’t boot Wear OS, instead, it’ll have a custom UI with five different watch faces and Hindi language support. Other options could include sleep tracking, step counter, activity tracker and others. Since the brand has started teasing, we expected to come across more information going forward.
