Realme X50 5G launch teased; will feature Redmi K30-like punch-hole display

Realme X50 launch has been teased in China by the company CMO Xu Qi Chase. The handset will be the first from the brand to have support for 5G standalone and non-standalone sub-6-GHz networks. The Realme X50 teaser image also reveals a punch-hole display with a pill-shaped cutout to house dual-selfie cameras, similar to the Redmi K30At the Realme X2 Pro India launch event, the company’s India CEO Madhav Sheth confirmed that Realme would launch a 5G smartphone with Qualcomm’s integrated 5G chipset in India in 2020. Based on the latest teaser, this 5G phone seems to be the Realme X50. Unfortunately, nothing much is known about the Realme X50 5G phone just yet.

As mentioned above, the Realme X50 5G could launch with a Qualcomm 5G chipset. This processor could be the unannounced mid-range Snapdragon 700-series chipset, which Qualcomm is likely to unveil at its upcoming Snapdragon Technology Summit on December 3rd. We should know more details about the mid-range 5G Snapdragon chipset at the event next month.

Separately, Realme is gearing up to unveil a new offline-centric smartphone series in India in 2020 to expand its offline presence in the country. However, the executive didn’t comment about the pricing and positioning details of the offline-centric series, but mentioned that it will launch products across price segments. Realme is also planning on opening self-branded offline stores in the country in 2020. At present, there are around 7,000 offline stores that sell Realme devices in the country.
