“Realme X50 is confirmed to come with dual-mode 5G support, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and VOOC 4.0 Flash Charge tech”
Realme X50 will be launching in China on January 7th, with the latest Snapdragon 765G SoC and 5G connectivity. Now, while we wait for the launch, the company’s product manager, Wang Wei Derek has posted a screenshot of the handset on Weibo with a caption that reads ‘After one day of use‘ and 62 percent battery left in the tank. This is an obvious nod to the Realme X50 battery life, but then again, we really don’t know the kind of usage and no battery stats were shared. However, considering that Snapdragon 7xx series chipsets are usually power-efficient, we can expect Realme X50 battery life to be decent.
Realme X50 retail box
Separately, Realme CMO has shared the retail packaging of the Realme X50. It comes in a complete yellow box with model name printed on the front. While this hides any detail regarding its design and hardware specifications, another teaser image confirms the existence of dual-punch hole cutout on the front to accommodate the selfie cameras, which could be a 32MP unit and an 8MP secondary snapper. Another teaser image reveals the Realme X50 5G will have a side-mounted fingerprint sensor instead of an in-display unit. This means that the company is settling for an LCD panel instead of an AMOLED screen owing to the higher 5G costs. To recall, the Redmi K30 too had a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
