Infinix has made its foray into the foldable market in India with the Infinix Zero Flip. Unlike most other devices in this form factor, Infinix has opted for a pricing under Rs. 50,000. While the Infinix Zero Flip brings foldables at a price point at which more people can afford them, of course, it has made certain compromises to reach it.
In this feature, we cover the reasons for buying or skipping this phone based on our full review.

4 reasons to buy the Infinix Zero Flip
Most affordable flip phone yet
It was only possible to get a foldable flip phone under Rs. 50,000 during the huge festive sale season, and Infinix Zero Flip changed that. While the Tecno Phantom V Flip got close to this price tag last year, the Infinix Zero Flip is actually available at Rs. 49,999 for its single variant with 8GB RAM and 512GB storage. As of right now, you can also avail additional card discount on Flipkart on the purchase of this phone.
Decent performance
While the Infinix Zero Flip comes with a midrange MediaTek Dimensity 8020 5G processor and just 8GB of RAM, it performs smoothly in day-to-day usage based on our usage of the device. There is no lag or jitter while you browse the web, scroll through reels, or consume content. While it obviously can’t reach the Antutu or Geekbench score of counterparts with better processors, the phone does surprisingly decent in the Burnout CPU throttle test. Infinix also promises 2 years of OS upgrades with the Zero Flip, and it comes with Android 14 out of the box.
Good selfie camera
Infinix Zero Flip provides a surprisingly good camera setup. The device has three cameras: a 50MP main camera, a 50MP ultrawide and a 50MP sensor for selfies. In our tests, the 50MP selfie camera outperformed the Motorola Razr 50, which comes with a 32MP selfie camera. Infinix Zero Flip’s front camera provided outputs with much more details and accurate skin tones.
Impressive fast charging speeds
Infinix Zero Flip boasts one of the fastest fast charging speeds we’ve seen in flip phones. The device supports 70W wired fast charging for its massive 4,720mAh battery. We tested the phone’s charging time from 20 to 100 percent and it provided impressive figures. Infinix Zero Flip took only 41 minutes to reach a full charge.
2 reasons to skip the Infinix Zero Flip
Underwhelming outdoor visibility
Like most flip phones, the Infinix Zero Flip features two displays. There is a 3.64-inch panel on the front and a 6.92-inch one for the main screen, both AMOLED with 120Hz refresh rate. The main display also features the latest power-efficient LTPO technology. Infinix claims a peak local brightness of 1,400 nits, but in our test, the device could reach only 696 nits of max brightness in the manual mode. If your day-to-day usage includes mostly outdoor use, this phone may not be the one for you.
No IP rating
A cost-cutting measure to reach that Rs. 50,000 price tag is the lack of IP rating on Infinix Zero Flip. In comparison, the Motorola Razr 50 features an IPX8 rating. This means that you are not recommended to expose the Infinix Zero Flip to any kind of water, liquid, or dust damage. This could be a major worry for those living in coastal regions or are simply clumsy.
