Priced from Rs 24,999, the Realme 14 Pro is a good option for those prioritising design, display, battery life, and reliable performance. Its 50MP primary camera does an impressive job in the segment. It also comes with AI features such as the popular Circle to Search. However, the Realme 14 Pro also comes with a few drawbacks that could be a deal breaker for some users.
In this article, based on our detailed review of the smartphone, we’ll check out four reasons why you should buy the Realme 14 Pro and two reasons why you should skip the device.

Why you should buy the Realme 14 Pro
Impressive display
The Realme 14 Pro features a 6.77-inch curved display with improved brightness, full HD+ resolution (2392 x 1080), a 120Hz refresh rate, 100 percent DCI-P3 colour gamut, and 3840Hz PWM with DC dimming, delivering an excellent viewing experience rivalling flagship devices.
It also features improved display durability by incorporating Corning’s high-end Gorilla Glass 7i protection.
IP69 rating
The Realme 14 Pro stands out for its durability, featuring IP66, IP68, and IP69 certifications for dust and water resistance, as well as “military-level shock resistance” (though details are limited).
In tests, it withstood accidental drops without damage. Additionally, the display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i for better durability, complimenting the IP69 rating of the device.
Stylish design
The Realme 14 Pro is one of the slimmest and lightest smartphones with a 6,000mAh battery, improving portability over its predecessor. While it retains the curved display and large circular camera island, the module now has a cleaner design with minimal protrusion, offering better ergonomics.
The Jaipur Pink edition features a sophisticated, elegant look, while the Suede Grey variant maintains a clean design. The Pearl White option includes colour-changing technology in cold temperatures. Despite the plastic build, the Realme 14 Pro feels premium and comfortable to use.
Reliable battery backup
The Realme 14 Pro features a 6,000mAh battery with 45W charging and includes a charger in the box. It delivers excellent battery life, lasting over 16 hours in benchmarks and up to two days with moderate usage.
During gaming, it consumed 19 percent battery in a 90-minute session, slightly less efficient than its competitors. Charging speeds are decent, with the battery going from 20 percent to 100 percent in 57 minutes, though not the fastest in its segment.
Why you should not buy the Realme 14 Pro
No ultra-wide lens
The Realme 14 Pro lacks an ultra-wide camera, an unusual omission for its segment, leaving the 50MP IMX882 primary camera as its main highlight. The primary sensor with OIS delivers vibrant, detailed photos with balanced contrast, though occasional high saturation is noticeable.
The 16MP front camera supports only 1080p 30fps recording. While the dynamic range is impressive, portrait mode and skin tone accuracy need improvement, particularly in detecting complexions and edge details. These issues are common in this segment but the Realme 14 Pro stands out due to the absence of an ultra-wide lens.
Bloatware
The Realme 14 Pro runs on Android 15-based Realme UI 6, offering new “anti-theft” features like “verify for power-off” and location tracking, as well as Google’s Circle to Search. AI-backed features like AI Clear Voice and AI gestures enhance usability.
However, the user experience is hindered by the presence of 64 pre-installed apps. The phone promises two years of Android OS releases and three years of security patches.
