Redmi 10X Pro is confirmed to launch alongside the standard Redmi 10X in China on May 26th. The Pro model will ship with the latest Dimensity 820 SoC and 5G connectivity. Now, as we inch closer to the launch, the brand has been teasing several key features on Weibo. The latest teasers confirm the Redmi 10X Pro would arrive with an AMOLED display, an in-display fingerprint sensor for security and boot the newest MIUI 12 custom skin that brings new Always-on-Display themes and SuperWallapers. The promotional video also shows off the waterdrop notch on the front to accommodate the selfie camera.
The Redmi 10X Pro will have a quad-camera setup at the back arranged in a square matrix, similar to the Redmi Note 9 Pro line-up and will support 30x zoom and OIS. The teaser images hint it could arrive with several camera filters and a unique neon light mode. It would come with 5G connectivity on both SIMs. Redmi seems to be emphasising on the camera features especially the with night mode pictures. The standard Redmi 10X is expected to come with triple cameras at the back.
Redmi 10X specifications and rumoured price
As for the specifications, the Redmi 10X is said to flaunt a 6.53-inch full HD+ display with 1,080 × 2,340 pixels resolution. The standard model is tipped to be powered by the MediaTek Helio G70 SoC and is likely to run Android 10 OS out of the box. The Redmi 10X is also tipped to arrive in 4GB + 128GB and 6GB + 128GB configurations and will be available in White, Sky Blue, and Green colours. The Pro mode, on the other hand, will be powered by the new MediaTek Dimensity 800 mid-range chipset and will come in 6GB + 64GB, 6GB + 128GB, 8GB + 128GB, and 8GB + 256GB variant. Colour options include Dark Blue, Violet, Gold, and Silver hues.
The quad-camera setup on the Redmi 10X could include a 48MP primary sensor, an 8MP lens and a couple of 2MP sensors. The is said to pack a 13MP selfie snapper and a 5,020mAh battery. It is said to cost RMB 1,499 (around Rs 16,000). We should know more details going forward.
