Now, the company is planning on expanding the Redmi numbered series. The device in question is the Redmi 12C and is expected to launch on February 26th in global markets. The summary image of the Redmi 12C was shared by noted tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore. This reveals the key specifications, complete design and much more. The phone shares a similar design as the POCO C55 except for some aesthetic differences like no leather back panel.

Redmi 12C design

The Redmi 12C has a waterdrop notch on the front to house the selfie snapper and there is a sizeable chin below the screen. The volume rocker and power buttons are on the right edge, while the SIM card tray is on the left edge. Moving to the back, there is a square module to house dual camera sensors and an LED flash. There is also a fingerprint sensor placed inside the module. The phone has a textured back panel, which should offer a good grip on hands.

The phone can be seen in Green, Pink, Black and Blue colours.

Redmi 12C specifications

According to the summary image, the Redmi 12C will come with a 6.71-inch display, which probably could have an HD+ resolution. The phone is powered by the MediaTek Helio G85 SoC and will have a slip-resistant minimalist design. Moving to optics, the Redmi 12C will have a 50MP primary camera and a QVGA secondary sensor. There will be a 5MP snapper on the front for selfies and video chats.

The phone would ship with a 5000mAh battery, powerful loudspeakers, and RAM extension support. There is a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor for security.

Lastly, the Redmi 12C is tipped to launch with two storage options, the base variant will have 3GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. This model is tipped to carry a price tag of EUR 170 (around Rs 15,000). While the top-end 4GB and 128GB model is tipped to come at EUR 200 (around Rs 17,600).
