PCMark
The PCMark benchmark test rates the iQOO Z9x better than its counterpart. With its 6,000mAh battery, the handset achieves 20 hours and 19 minutes after running a series of sequences until the battery life drops below 20 percent. In contrast, the Redmi 13 5G’s 5,030mAh battery fell short by approximately six hours when subjected to a similar sequence in the test.

Video streaming
The Redmi 13 5G appears to be winning in our 30-minute video streaming test. We played a YouTube video at 50 percent brightness and volume levels on both devices. The Redmi 13 5G consumed 3 percent of its battery life, which equates to 151mAh (approx.) in absolute numbers. In contrast, the iQOO Z9x experienced a battery drop of 240mAh, equivalent to 4 percent.

Gaming
The iQOO Z9x demonstrates superior battery optimisation during gaming. After playing BGMI for 30 minutes, the iQOO Z9x’s battery life only dropped by 5 percent, equivalent to 300mAh, whereas the Redmi 13 5G consumed 8 percent (approximately 402mAh) of battery. Similarly, in Real Racing 3, the Redmi 13 5G’s battery depleted almost twice as fast as its counterpart. The iQOO Z9x used 5 percent (300mAh) of battery compared to 10 percent (503mAh) on the Redmi 13 5G. Finally, 30 minutes of COD contributed to a 7 percent battery drop in iQOO Z9x and 10 percent on the Redmi 13 5G.

The iQOO Z9x supports 44W fast charging capability. Using the bundled charger, the handset’s whopping 6,000mAh battery goes from 20 to 100 percent in just 61 minutes. In comparison, the 5,030mAh battery on the Redmi 13 5G, supporting 33W fast charging, takes 86 minutes to reach full charge from 20 percent.

The iQOO Z9x emerges as the clear winner, outperforming its counterpart in three out of four tests. While the Redmi 13 5G excels in video streaming, the iQOO Z9x is the better choice for gaming and heavy usage.
