Redmi 7A has finally been made available in offline stores in India. Considering that budget smartphones have many takers in the offline market, it makes perfect sense that Xiaomi has now introduced Redmi 7A into the offline space in the country. For those who are unaware, Redmi 7A is an entry-level offering with an 18:9 display and a beefy 4,000mAh battery and comes as a successor to the last year’s Redmi 6A, which was also a popular smartphone in the affordable price segment. The handset was first unveiled in China in May and was later launched in India in July.

Diving into the Redmi 7A price in India, the base variant with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage, which is priced at Rs 5,999 online, is now retailing for Rs 6,199 in the offline stores. On the other hand, the Redmi 7A variant with 2GB RAM and 32GB storage is retailing for Rs 6,399, compared with Rs 6,199 online.
Redmi 7A specifications
Coming to the Redmi 7A specifications, the handset features a compact 5.45-inch display with a screen resolution of 720 x 1,440 pixels and an aspect ratio of 18:9. An octa-core 2GHz Snapdragon 439 processor, aided by an Adreno 505 GPU, keeps the lights on for the smartphone. While the smartphone doesn’t feature a fingerprint sensor, it does have a face unlock functionality. The Redmi 7A boots MIUI 10 out of the box, which is based on Android 9.0 Pie.
Notably, in India, the Redmi 7A has been launched with a 12MP Sony IMX486 sensor. For selfies, there’s a 5-megapixel snapper with AI portrait and AI smart beauty modes. The connectivity options include wireless FM Radio, 4G LTE, dual-SIM slots, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, and A-GPS.
