“The Redmi 7A is a budget offering with a Snapdragon 439 SoC and a 4,000mAh battery”
Last month, Xiaomi sub-brand Redmi unveiled its latest budget smartphone called the Redmi 7A in its home market of China. The company is now all set to launch the Redmi 7A in Europe as e-commerce portals in Czechia and Slovakia have started listing the handset. Now, a report by XDA Developers suggests that Xiaomi could be planning to release the phone in the Indian market as well.
XDA recognised developer yshalsager has revealed multiple model identifiers of the Redmi 7A for different markets. The Indian variant has the model number ‘M1903C3EI’, while the global variants have the identifiers including ‘M1903C3EG’ and ‘M1903C3EH’. Since the brand has a model number of the Redmi 7A for India, it can be speculated that the handset will be headed to the domestic market sooner rather than later. The XDA report goes on to speculate that the smartphone could be launched in India at some point in July, perhaps alongside the Redmi K20 series, which are slated to launch by mid-July. To recall, the Redmi 7 smartphone was unveiled in India alongside the Redmi Y3 in April.
