Redmi 8A Dual budget offering was launched in India back in February and it came in two variants – 2GB+ 32GB and 3GB + 32GB. Today, Xiaomi India has unveiled a new Redmi 8A Dual 3GB RAM variant with 64GB internal storage. The new variant will appeal to budget consumers looking for more storage. Apart from the RAM and storage configuration, the rest of the Redmi 8A Dual specifications remain the same as the older variants. The smartphone is an upgraded version of the Redmi 8A and comes with features like dual-rear camera setup, Aura XGrip design, Snapdragon 439 SoC, and 5,000mAh battery.

The Redmi 8A Dual 3GB + 64GB price in India is set at Rs 8,999 and this variant will be available from June 15th at 12pm through Mi.com, Amazon.in and retail outlets. Meanwhile, the price of the Redmi 8A Dual 2GB + 32GB variant is Rs 7,499 while the 3GB + 32GB costs Rs 7,999.

Redmi 8A Dual specifications
The Redmi 8A Dual sports a 6.22-inch HD+ display with a waterdrop notch and Corning Gorilla Glass protection. It is powered by the Snapdragon 439 SoC paired with up to 3GB RAM and 64GB storage that is further expandable up to 512GB. The handset boots Android 9.0 Pie with MIUI 11 custom skin on top and it is P2i coating. Connectivity features include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, dual SIM support, and GPS.
As for the optics, the Redmi 8A Dual features dual camera setup consisting of a 13MP primary sensor and 2MP secondary lens. There is an 8MP snapper on the front for selfies and video chats. There is no fingerprint sensor for security, instead users will have to rely on pin/pattern unlock. The phone houses a 5,000mAh battery and supports 18W fast-charging, although the box comes with a 10W charger.
