The teaser images on Mi India events page show the Redmi 9i may have the same design language as the Redmi 9. The volume rocker and power button are on the right spine, while the SIM tray could be on the right. The 3.5mm audio jack is present on top. The speaker grill and USB Type-C port for charging and data sync should be at the bottom.
According to recent reports, Redmi 9i will be available in two models – 4GB/64GB and 4GB/128GB – that should support storage expandability via microSD card. The phone will reportedly ship in Sea Blue, Nature Green, and Midnight Black colour options. It will run Android 10-based MIUI 12 out of the box. Connectivity options could include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, and GPS. We’re yet to learn about the Redmi 9i’s display size, chipset details, and battery capacity.
