Xiaomi announced earlier today that the brand’s budget Redmi 9i smartphone will be launched in India on September 15th. Now, ahead of the launch, we have received information about the Redmi 9i price in India from well-known tipster Ishan Agarwal. According to Agarwal, the Redmi 9i India prices will start from Rs 7,999. He says the handset will be made available in two configurations, i.e. 4GB RAM + 64GB storage and 4GB RAM + 128GB storage. While we can confirm the former variant’s price in the country, there is no information yet on what the latter will cost.

The tipster has also informed 91mobiles that Redmi 9i will be offered in same colour options as the brand’s Redmi 9A smartphone, which was unveiled just recently. This means that the Redmi 9i will be offered in Midnight Black, Sea Blue, and Nature Green hues.

Notably, the Mi India event page has already revealed some of the key design elements and features of the upcoming Redmi 9i. In terms of design, the teaser poster shows a waterdrop notch, which is not particularly new for this price segment. The brand’s website has confirmed 4GB RAM and MIUI 12 out of the box.
