The highly-anticipated Redmi flagship that has been expected since the beginning of this month has received a lot of buzz. Xiaomi officials have been actively teasing new features of the handset and the latest in the line is that the flagship has been optimized for gaming, according to Redmi General Manager Lu Weibing. The mentioned official has previously also teased other features of the unnamed handset, including a 3.5mm jack, an in-display fingerprint reader, and NFC.
Coming back to Weibing’s post, he said that the Redmi flagship will address three crucial areas in mobile gaming. Those include game delay, battery, and frequency reduction. Moreover, the general manager has also said that the flagship will have a two-day battery life. In a separate post earlier, Weibing also revealed that the AnTuTu score of the upcoming Redmi phone is scary good, which is most likely because it’s a Snapdragon 855 SoC. In a post, today on Weibo, Lei Jun, co-founder of Xiaomi started a survey asking Chinese netizens about the potential name of the handset which has remained a secret up till now. He also gave followers four options – including X20, P20, K20 and T20. The Xiaomi head will finally reveal the official name of the flagship tomorrow.
As far as leaked information is concerned, the Redmi flagship will feature a 6.39-inch full-HD+ display with a pop-up camera design that has been in trend this year. It is also expected to sport a triple camera setup, including a primary 48MP sensor and a super-wide-angle lens. The super wide angle lens is actually officially confirmed. The battery is expected to be around 4,000mAh capacity. The Redmi flagship will likely compete with the Realme X flagship launching soon.
