Redmi K20 official case, retail box officially revealed

The recent week has seen heightened activity on official channels related to the unannounced flagship Redmi K20. We came to know a lot of things about it, including the fact that it will be released in India soon. However, while the launch date is still not known either for China or India, the company has teased the phone’s retail box and back cover on Weibo, along with some merchandise. Since this is an official case, it does confirm quite a few details about the handset.

For one, the cutout at the back seemingly confirms a triple camera setup on the phone. We’ve seen leaked images of the handset before but those have not been the clearest and most ideal snaps and we’re yet to see a good high-res image. The phone is dubbed “Demon King” and you’ll see images of the playful demon king on all the accessories and the retail box. We also expect an on-screen fingerprint reader since the cutout won’t accommodate more than three sensors. The Redmi K20 has some sort of connection with Purple as all the stuff shown in the images, including the case, is Purple.

As for the previously leaked information, the Redmi K20 is expected to feature a notch-less 6.39-inch Full-HD+ screen. The handset will have a pop-up camera, making it the first phone under Xiaomi’s banner with the feature. The Snapdragon 855 SoC will power CPU performance and the rear triple camera setup is believed to be comprised of a primary 48MP Sony IMX 586 sensor, a 13MP ultra-wide angle lens, and an 8MP telephoto shooter. Lu Weibing, Redmi’s General Manager has said that the handset will be optimized for gaming and has a crazy AnTuTu score which was recently found to be more than 400,00. The launch date is still pending though and we’re expecting an announcement soon.
