Redmi K30 5G Extreme Edition has been launched in China by Xiaomi, as expected. It is a new addition to the Redmi K30 line-up and is the first phone to be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 768G SoC, which is claimed to bring a 15 percent faster CPU and GPU performance compared to the Snapdragon 765G. It is the first Snapdragon 7 series chipset to offer updateable graphic drivers. The rest of the Redmi K30 5G Extreme Edition specifications are similar to those of the vanilla Redmi K30. The design cues are also familiar and include a dual-punch hole cutout at the top right corner to accommodate the selfie cameras and vertically arranged quad cameras on the back.

The Redmi K30 5G Extreme Edition price is RMB 1,999 (around Rs 21,400) and the smartphone comes in White, Blue, Purple, and Mint colour options. The handset will be available in China from May 14th through JD.com.

The Redmi K30 5G Extreme Edition has a 6.67-inch full-HD+ display with 2,400 x 1,080 pixels resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, Gorilla Glass 5 protection, and two punch-holes for selfie cameras. The handset is powered by the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 768G SoC with Adreno 620 GPU for graphics, 6GB RAM, and 128GB internal storage that is further expandable via microSD card. The phone boots Android 10 OS with MIUI 11 custom skin on top.
Redmi K30 5G Extreme Edition features quad-camera setup at the back with a 64MP Sony IMX686 primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor for portrait shots. On the front, it has is a 20MP primary sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. There is a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security and the phone is splash-resistant (P2i coating). It packs a 4,500mAh battery with 30W fast-charging support. Connectivity features include 5G, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS/GLONASS/Beidou, NFC, and USB Type-C.
