
“Redmi K30 comes in 5G and 4G variants with some differences in pricing and specifications”
Xiaomi launched the Redmi K30 5G in China that touts a Snapdragon 765 SoC, 64MP quad camera setup and 30W fast charging, among other things. Along with the 5G model, the company also announced the Redmi K30 4G variant as well. As you would have guessed, the Redmi K30 4G is priced lower compared to the 5G variant. It also looks like the 4G variant will launch in India in the near future considering 5G services are yet to rollout in the country. With this in mind, we take a closer look at how the Redmi K30 5G is different from the Redmi K30 4G in terms of specifications and pricing in order to understand what we can look forward to from the latter model when it comes to India.
Redmi K30 5G vs Redmi K30 4G price compared
Redmi K30 5G and 4G models come in four similar RAM and storage variants.

Redmi K30 5G vs Redmi K30 4G specifications compared
Both the Redmi K30 5G and non-5G versions look identical. They both come with a 6.67-inch LCD display and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. The display features a pill-shaped punch-hole cutout for dual selfie cameras. The Redmi K30 also gets a 120Hz refresh rate, making the 4G variant the most affordable smartphone right now with a 120Hz display.
The biggest difference between the two models is the processor. The Redmi K30 5G is powered by the latest Snapdragon 765 SoC that comes with an integrated 5G modem. This chipset aims to bring affordable 5G phones to the market. It is unclear whether the Redmi K30 5G will launch in India anytime soon.
Meanwhile, the Redmi K30 4G model comes with a Snapdragon 730G SoC. Compared to the Snapdragon 765, the Snapdragon 730G gets a slightly slower CPU and previous-gen GPU as well. To recall, the Redmi K20 was launched with a Snapdragon 730 SoC. The Snapdragon 730G is aims at mobile gaming enthusiasts and is based on an 8nm process.
Quad camera specifications are mostly similar between the Redmi K30 5G and non-5G variants. Both models get a 64MP Sony IMX686 primary sensor, 8MP wide-angle lens and 2MP depth sensor. However, the Redmi K30 5G gets a 5MP macro lens while the Redmi K30 4G model gets a 2MP macro lens.
Lastly we come to the battery. Both the Redmi K30 5G and 4G versions come with a 4,500mAh battery. However, the Redmi K30 5G model gets a faster 30W fast charging that will charge up the phone to 100 percent in 66 minutes, while the 4G Redmi K30 supports 27W fast charging.
