“Redmi K30 Pro specifications teased so far include the Snapdragon 865 SoC, 64MP quad cameras, and notchless AMOLED display”
Redmi K30 Pro is scheduled to launch later this month in China, as confirmed by Xiaomi’s product manager Lu Weibing. The flagship would come with Snapdragon 865 SoC and 5G connectivity. This week, we spotted a clear render of the smartphone, which revealed its 64MP quad camera setup and pop-up selfie camera. Another thing that happened this week was noted tipster Ishan Agarwal claiming in a tweet that the Redmi K30 Pro will be one of the cheapest if not the cheapest Snapdragon 865 phones. He suggested that the company will be focusing on delivering an affordable Snapdragon 865-powered phone, so one should not to expect exceptional specifications in other areas like the cameras.
There is no word on the exact Redmi K30 Pro price yet. The smartphone will first launch in China before making its way to other markets. To recall, the Redmi K20 Pro was launched in India with a starting price of Rs 27,999. But it is speculated that the Redmi K30 Pro will launch in India as the POCO F2, and at an extremely affordable price point at that.
To recall, the Redmi K30 was rebranded as POCO X2 in India and there’s a chance the Redmi K30 Pro when launched, could be marketed as POCO F2 in India. POCO is Xiaomi’s standalone brand that primarily focuses on performance and aggressive pricing rather than boasting high-end specifications, which could be what the tipster might be hinting at indirectly.
Redmi K30 Pro will become one of the cheapest or maybe even the cheapest Snapdragon 865 Smartphone. The focus is on this only so don’t expect majorly good specifications in other areas like the camera. #Redmi #RedmiK30Pro— Ishan Agarwal (@ishanagarwal24) March 15, 2020
Redmi K30 Pro specifications
As for the Redmi K30 Pro specifications, it is rumoured to feature an OLED display instead of an LCD panel. It could have an in-display fingerprint sensor for security. The flagship will be powered by the Snapdragon 865 SoC coupled with Adreno 650 GPU and 5G Modem-RF system. It could pack UFS 3.1 storage and LPDDR5 RAM. The Redmi K30 Pro is likely to boot Android 10 with MIUI 11 custom skin. The Redmi K30 Pro is tipped to pack quad cameras at the back with a 64MP primary sensor. A beefy 4,700mAh battery with 30W fast-charging support would fuel the phone. We should know more details going forward.
