Xiaomi is rumoured to launch the flagship Redmi K30 Pro smartphone in March. Ahead of that, the handset has surfaced on benchmarking site Geekbench 5.1 to reveal its core details. The Redmi K30 Pro will rock 1.8GHz octa-core chipset, codenamed as ‘lmi’. It’s believed to be Qualcomm’s high-end Snapdragon 865 SoC, which has similar base clock speed. The chipset will be paired with at least 8GB of RAM, per Geekbench, while Android 10 will take care of the phone’s software side of things. Coming to the Redmi K30 Pro Geekbench score, it posted 903 points in the single-core test and 3,362 points in the multi-core test. This is higher than the Snapdragon 855 scores, which were in the 500/ 2,200 ballpark.
Apart from this, there is much about the Redmi K30 Pro’s specifications that remain unknown at the moment. The regular Redmi K30, to recall, was launched last month in China. Speaking of which, the handset is rumoured to be rebranded in India as the POCO F2 Lite. The Redmi K30 comes with both 4G and 5G models, priced at RMB 1,599 (around Rs 16,000) and RMB 1,999 (around Rs 20,000), respectively, for the base 6GB RAM variant respectively.

The Redmi K30 runs Android 10-based MIUI 11 out of the box. It sports a 6.67-inch LCD display with dual-punch hole design, 120Hz refresh rate, and Full-HD+ resolution. The 4G variant of the Redmi K30 is powered by Snapdragon 730G chipset, while 5G model rocks Snapdragon 765G gaming-centric SoC with fifth-gen cellular connectivity modem integrated.
The front camera of the Redmi K30 features 20MP + 2MP selfie sensors housed in a pill-shaped punch-hole cutout. The phone’s quad-rear camera setup sports 64MP Sony IMX686 working as the primary sensor, followed by an 8MP super wide-angle lens, 5MP macro and 2MP depth in the 5G variant. The 4G variant although has a similar setup, it exchanges the 5MP macro lens for a 2MP macro lens. Other highlights include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, up to 4,500mAh battery with 30W fast charging support, and standard connectivity options.
