Redmi K30 Pro has been officially launched in China as the brand’s latest flagship smartphone. It follows the Redmi K30 that was launched in 4G and 5G variants in December. The Redmi K30 Pro comes with high-end specifications like the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC, 64MP quad camera setup, Wi-Fi 6 support, and a notchless AMOLED display. The smartphone also touts a pop-up selfie camera much like the Redmi K20 Pro, and packs a 4,700mAh battery with fast charging support. Redmi K30 Pro price and availability

The Redmi K30 Pro price in China starts at RMB 2,999 (~Rs 32,500) for the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. The price of the 8GB RAM + 128GB and 8GB RAM + 256GB variants are RMB 3,399 (~Rs 36,600) and RMB 3,699 (~Rs 40,000), respectively.

Meanwhile, the Redmi K30 Pro Zoom Edition price starts at RMB 3,799 (~Rs 41,000) for the base 8GB RAM and 128GB storage option, while the 8GB RAM and 256GB variant costs RMB 3,999 (~Rs 43,000). The smartphone comes in Sky Blue, Moonlight White, Starry Purple, and Space Grey colour options. First sale of the Redmi K30 Pro will be from April 4th.

Coming to the specifications, the Redmi K30 Pro sports pop-up selfie camera design and a 6.67-inch FHD+ notchless Super AMOLED display with HDR10+ support, 1200 nits of peak brightness, 5000000:1 contrast ratio, and a touch sampling rate of 180Hz. To be clear, the phone only supports 60Hz refresh rate. There’s an in-display fingerprint scanner for security as well. The Redmi K30 Pro is powered by a 2.84GHz octa-core Snapdragon 865 SoC, coupled with a 5G modem, up to 8GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB UFS 3.1 storage onboard. The handset also touts a large vapour chamber (VC) liquid cooling to dissipate heat and keep its temperature during intensive gaming and multi-media.

The Redmi K30 Pro rocks a quad rear camera setup that includes a 64MP Sony IMX686 primary sensor with OIS, a 5MP macro lens, a 13MP wide-angle lens with 123-degree field-of-view, and a 2MP depth sensor. The Redmi K30 Pro Zoom Edition has similar setup but with 8MP telephoto lens with OIS and 30x zoom support instead of the 5MP macro sensor. The cameras are backed by Xiaomi’s AI, EIS, and 8K video recording. For selfies and video chats, the handset employs a 20MP shooter on the pop-up camera that automatically retracts when the phone detects a fall.

The Redmi K30 Pro and Zoom Edition phone house a 4,700mAh battery and support 33W fast charging. Software-wise, Redmi K30 Pro runs on Android 10-based MIUI 11 out of the box. In terms of connectivity, the Redmi K30 Pro features 4G LTE as well as 5G, Wi-Fi 6, 3.5mm headphone jack, Infrared blaster, Bluetooth v5.1, GPS, and USB Type-C port for charging and data sync. Other features include improved vibration motor, NFC, Game Turbo 3.0 with night vision and voice changer.
