Xiaomi’s Redmi K30i 5G has been part of leaks and rumours for some time now but the brand has finally gone ahead and made the smartphone official rather quitely in China. The Redmi K30i 5G’s design looks identical to the Redmi K30 5G smartphone, which was launched late last year. Even in terms of specifications, the only noticeable change from last year’s phone is that the Redmi K30i 5G features a 48MP primary camera at the back instead of 64MP sensor, which was seen on the last year’s model. Thankfully, you still get the display with 120Hz refresh rate as the brand has not opted to dial back in this department.

Redmi K30i 5G price and availability

Just like we exclusively reported earlier, the Redmi K30i comes in a single 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. The handset is reportedly listed on JD.com at 1,999 Yuan (roughly Rs 21,300). The K30i is available in white and purple colours, just as we reported earlier. Apart from these colours, you can also buy the Redmi K30i in blue and red colours. The smartphone can already be pre-ordered from JD.com but the sale of the phone will start from June 2nd.

The Redmi K30i 5G comes with a 6.67-inch FHD+ IPS LCD display with 120Hz refresh rate, as we mentioned earlier. The handset has a dual punch-hole design that houses the front cameras. The Redmi K30i is powered by the Snapdragon 765G SoC, which is coupled with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. On the software side, you get the Android 10-based MIUI 11 out of the box. Moving to the optics, the Redmi K30i 5G features a quad-camera setup that has a 48MP primary lens, which is reportedly made by Sony. The primary sensor is assisted by an 8MP ultrawide camera, a 5MP super macro unit, and finally a 2MP depth unit. At the front, you get a 20MP main camera and a 2MP depth camera for taking selfies and video calling. The Redmi K30i is driven by a 4,500mAh battery with 30W fast charging support.
