The Redmi K40 Game Enhanced Edition was recently launched in China and it now appears to be preparing itself for a global launch. The smartphone has been listed on the Google Play Console, which generally means that a launch is imminent. The device has been listed as the Redmi K40 Gaming, whereas the China variant is called the Game Enhanced edition. Redmi is also expected to launch this phone in India, but it will be rebranded as the POCO F3 GT

Redmi K40 Gaming specifications

The Google Play Console listing (via Mukul Sharma) for the Redmi K40 Gaming smartphone shows that it’s running 8GB RAM and is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chipset, the same as the China variant. The listing also shows that the phone is running the Android 11 operating system. However, we already know everything there’s to know about this phone since it’s already been launched in China.

The Redmi K40 Gaming will come with a 6.67-inch OLED FHD+ display that offers HDR10+ support, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a punch-hole camera cutout. It will come with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage, along with a microSD card slot for expansion. The phone will house a 5,065mAh battery that offers 67W fast charging support. On the back, the device gets a triple camera setup with a primary 64-megapixel sensor, an 8-megapixel ultrawide unit, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. For selfies and video calling, Redmi has houses a 16-megapixel sensor inside the punch-hole cutout. 

Redmi will be bringing this phone to India as the POCO F3 GT, according to recent leaks. This would be the second F series phone to be launched in India. As of now, there has been no official confirmation regarding this from either POCO or Redmi. We should hear more about it in the coming days though.
