Redmi K40 series is rumoured to be in active development and it may launch later this year. The smartphone is expected to come with 33W fast-charging, 120Hz LCD display and a massive 4,500mAh battery. Now, in the latest leak, noted tipster Digital Chat Station claims the Redmi K40 specifications will also include the unannounced Snapdragon 775 processor (SM7350) and the phone will be on sale before the end of this year, fourth quarter to be precise. Meanwhile, the Redmi K40 Pro model is said to debut in the first half of 2021 with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 875 SoC (SM8350).

Redmi K40 Digital Chat Station

Separately, Redmi K30 Ultra smartphone launch seems to be right in the corner as a new addition to the K30 line-up. It could be the first K-series phone to ship with a MediaTek chipset, but the processor name isn’t revealed just yet. The handset was recently spotted in the MIUI 12 build with the codename “cezanne.” The Redmi K30 Ultra will feature a quad-camera setup with a 64MP primary camera and it will have a pop-up camera on the front for selfies and video chats.

Digital Chat Station recently revealed Xiaomi is working on a phone with MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ chipset and 144Hz LCD display. There’s a good chance, it could be the Redmi K30 Ultra and if it indeed is, it’ll be the first Xiaomi phone to have such a higher-refresh-rate screen. We should know more information soon.
