- Redmi K50 series is launching in China on March 17th

The Redmi K50 series will be officially unveiled in a couple of days in China. Ahead of the launch, Redmi has started to tease some of the phone’s specifications. The company recently revealed that the Pro variant will feature MediaTek’s Dimensity 8100 chipset and 108-megapixel rear camera. Now, Redmi has posted several new teasers that reveal more features of the Redmi K50 series. We expect Redmi to launch the Redmi K50, Redmi K50 Pro, and Redmi K50 Pro+ at the upcoming event. The phones will join the recently launched Redmi K50 Gaming phone.
Redmi K50 specifications
Redmi has teased some more features that’ll be available on the K50 series. In a series of Weibo posts, the company has revealed that the K50 series will feature Samsung’s 2K AMOLED panel that’ll offer better colors, a high refresh rate, and an improved viewing experience. It also revealed that the smartphones will get Bluetooth 5.3, Wi-Fi 6, and stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res audio support. The 2K AMOLED panels could be reserved for the Pro variants only.
Previous teasers had confirmed that at least one of the Pro variants will be equipped with the latest MediaTek Dimensity 8100 5G chipset. The Pro models will also feature a 108-megapixel primary rear camera. It has also been reported that the standard K50 will feature a Snapdragon 870 SoC, whereas the K50 Pro+ will get a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chipset. Another recent leak has also revealed the color options for the smartphones. The Redmi K50 series will be available in four colorways – Black, Blue, White, and Gold.
More details on the phones should be available in a couple of days, or at the launch. The K50 series could also be launched in India under POCO or Xiaomi branding. We should find out more soon.
