Redmi K50 Ultra has been launched in China alongside other products like the MIX Fold 2 and Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro. It is the company’s latest premium offering and ships with Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 chipset, which should offer premium performance. The phone has a punch-hole cutout for the selfie snapper, triple camera sensors on the back, and is the first Redmi K50 series phone with an in-display fingerprint sensor for security. The phone comes with a VC heat dissipation area of 3725mm2 and a total 12-layer heat dissipation area of 30000mm2.

The Redmi K50 Ultra features a rugged finish on the back panel, which appeals to gamers. It has triple cameras on the back, with a 108MP primary sensor, a 20MP Sony IMX566 selfie shooter, 120W fast charging support and runs on Android 12 OS.

Redmi K50 Ultra is priced at RMB 2,999 (around Rs 35,400) for the 8GB + 128GB, RMB 3,299 (approx Rs 39,000) for the 8GB + 256GB, RMB 3,599 (around Rs 42,450) for the 12GB + 256GB and RMB 3,999 (approx Rs 47,200) for the 12GB + 512GB model.

Lastly, the Redmi K50 Ultra Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team Summer Edition will be available in only 12GB + 512GB version and is priced at RMB 4,199 (around Rs 49,600). The phone will be available to purchase in China starting from August 16th.

The Redmi K50 Ultra runs on Android 12-based MIUI 13 custom skin out of the box. Connectivity options include 5G, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS (L1 + L5), NavIC, USB Type-C, and NFC. There is an in-display fingerprint sensor for security, infrared sensor, USB Type-C audio, Hi-Res audio, Dolby Atmos, and dual speakers. The phone measures 163.1×75.9×8.6mm and weighs 202 grams.

Moving to optics, the Redmi K50 Ultra with a triple camera setup on the back, comprising a 108MP Samsung HM6 primary sensor with OIS and LED flash, an 8MP UW sensor, and a 2MP macro. There is a 20MP Sony IMX596 sensor on the front for selfies and video chats.
