Aside from the Redmi K30 Pro and K30 Pro Zoom Edition flagship smartphones, the Xiaomi sub-brand has also launched a massive 98-inch Redmi MAX TV and Redmi Touchscreen Speaker 8 on the same stage. The former is a 4K smart TV that comes with MEMC motion compensation feature and has 85 percent NTSC. The TV is equipped with 20+ image quality tuning technology for an immersive viewing experience and is just two meters thick. The Redmi Touchscreen Speaker 8 touts an 8-inch screen and a smart home centre console.

The Redmi MAX 98-inch price is set at RMB 19,999 (approx Rs 2,15,200) and the smart TV will go on sale from April 9th. Meanwhile, the Redmi Touchscreen Speaker 8 costs RMB 349 (around 3,800) and will be on sale from March 27th.

The Redmi MAX TV highlights a massive 98-inch 4K panel that comes with a 192 percent dynamic backlight and supports local dimming and HDR technology. Redmi says this will further improve the quality of HDR content. The smart TV packs 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage and powered by a 12nm quad-core 64-bit processor. It runs on Patchwall OS based on Android TV. The TV comes with a total of 3 HDMI, 2 USB, AV Input, S/PDIF ports, Bluetooth 4.2 low consumption and WiFi 802.11ac. The Redmi Max 98-inch TV also supports Dolby sound and DTS-HD panoramic audio. Considering the massive size, delivery of the TV requires multiple confirmations, door-to-door measurements and will take a total of 30 days to ship to the consumer. However, the brand is offering a complete refund in case it isn’t delivered.
Redmi Touchscreen Speaker 8 specifications
The Redmi Touchscreen Speaker 8 sports an 8-inch HD full-lit screen with a 178-degree wide-viewing angle. It also features a front HD camera. The smart display speaker supports 6 popular video platforms in China and it also supports multi-device video calling. Additionally. the Redmi Touchscreen Speaker 8 comes with a control panel that lets you control other smart IoT products products. Lastly, the speaker is backed by Xiao AI assistant that can also understand hand gestures to control music playback.
