  • Redmi Note 12 Explorer Edition launched in China last week.

Redmi Note 12 and Redmi Note 12 Pro series debuted in China last week. The Redmi Note 12 Explorer Edition is the world’s first phone with 210W ultra-fast speed charging support. This is much superior to the current 150W speeds available in the market. The brand claimed it can fully charge the built-in 4,300mAh battery in just nine minutes, which really was incredible. However, the actual charging speeds are a little lower than what has been promised, but still much ahead of the competition.

Of the said 210W charging speeds, the Redmi Note 12 Explorer Edition was able to reach a peak speed of 184W. This speed didn’t sustain for long and continued to decline; however, the speeds remained above 120W. The results showed the phone was able to charge fully in 10 minutes and 10 seconds, which is a good one minute above the claimed nine-minute mark.

While this doesn’t make any real-world differences, it would have been nice had Xiaomi delivered what it claimed or mentioned actual facts instead of inflated numbers. These speeds are ahead of the competition in the current market scenario. The report further mentions the Redmi Note 12 Explorer Edition manages to charge without producing any heat. It reached a peak temperature of 43.3 degrees Celsius in the test.
