- The Redmi Note 12 Pro 4G was recently spotted on the IMEI database.
Redmi is gearing up for the launch of its Redmi Note 12 lineup in the global markets. The Redmi Note 12 series, comprising the Redmi Note 12, Redmi Note 12 Pro, and Redmi Note 12 Pro+, is said to launch in India and in several other regions sometime this month or early next month. Ahead of the launch, a new leak has popped up on the internet, which suggests that Redmi might not just launch the 5G models in the Redmi Note 12 series, but is also going to unveil a 4G variant, dubbed the Redmi Note 12 Pro 4G. The Redmi Note 12 Pro 4G has recently been spotted on the IMEI database, which hints at an imminent launch.
Redmi Note 12 Pro 4G visits IMEI database
As seen in the IMEI database screenshot above (spotted by Xiaomiui), the Redmi Note 12 Pro 4G (with the model number Xiaomi 2209116AG) has recently been listed, which potentially means that Redmi might soon take the wraps off its first 4G device in the Redmi Note 12 lineup in the global market. The letter “G” in the device’s model number signifies that it will indeed be launching globally and is not a China-specific device. Sadly enough, the IMEI listing fails to tell us anything about its specifications and features.
Redmi Note 12 Pro 4G specifications (expected)
The Redmi Note 12 Pro 4G is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 732G processor, which might be coupled with 8GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage. Coming to the display of the device, the Redmi Note 12 Pro 4G is tipped to feature a 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. In terms of cameras, the device will likely feature a 108MP main camera and a 16MP selfie camera. Lastly, the Redmi Note 12 Pro 4G is tipped to sport a 5,020mAh battery with 33W fast charging.
