The Redmi Note 12 Turbo smartphone has officially been launched in China. It is a new addition to the already existing Redmi Note 12 series, and the first smartphone ever to come with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen2 SoC ticking at its core. The all-new Redmi Note 12 Turbo boasts a similar design as its elder siblings, with a boxy panel, flat edges and a rectangular module to house triple camera sensors. Redmi Note 12 Turbo is priced at RMB 1999 (approx Rs 23,900) for the 8GB + 256GB model, RMB 2199 (approx Rs 26,300) for the 12GB + 256GB model, and RMB 2399 (around Rs 28,700) for the 12GB + 512GB version. There is also a whopping 16GB + 1TB storage model that comes in at RMB 2799 (approx Rs 33,400). The phone comes in Blue, Black, and White colour options.
The Redmi Note 12 Turbo will also be available in a special Harry Potter Edition that comes with a customised design, with the ‘Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry’ logo, Guardian deity “Stag” drawing, and Harry Potter logo engraved on the back panel. The box packaging will also include a customised back cover, a custom card pin, and some stickers.
The rear camera cutouts resemble Harry’s signature glasses and lightning scars. Additionally, the ‘Harry Potter edition comes with customised boot animation, wallpapers, theme, and more.

The Redmi Note 12 Turbo is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen2 SoC, which is paired with Adreno GPU for graphics, up to 16GB LPDDR5 RAM and 1TB UFS 3.1 storage. The storage is further expandable via a microSD card. The phone sports a 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 2,400 x1,080 pixels resolution, adaptive HDR, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, 1920Hz PWM, 1000nits brightness, a punch-hole cutout for the selfie snapper, and flat edges.
Moving to optics, the Redmi Note 12 Turbo Edition is said to come with a 64MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2MP macro lens. The phone could house a 16MP snapper on the front for selfies and video chats. The handset measures 161.11x 74.95×7.99mm and weighs 181 grams.
Other features include Dolby Atmos stereo speakers, an in-display fingerprint sensor, an x-axis motor, IR Blaster, and Hi-Res audio. Connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C port for charging. The phone packs a 5,000mAh battery with 67W fast charging support.
