Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 7S are reportedly receiving the MIUI 11 update in India. It comes with version number MIUI 11.05.0.PFGINXM and weighs 712MB in size and carries the October 2019 security patch as well. Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 7S are scheduled to get the update between October 22nd and October 31st, which is in line with the current rollout timing. However, it looks like it’s a staged rollout as not all Redmi Note 7 and Note 7S users are receiving the update as of now. If there is no update notification, you can check from About Phone > System Update.
MIUI 11 brings new visual changes with minimalistic design, new dynamic sound effects that include nature sounds, a new Mi File Manager app, steps counter, Wallpaper Carousel, and a floating calculator. It also comes with a refined colours scheme with white backgrounds and system-wide Dark Mode is also improved. There’s also a new Mi Share feature that allows one to transfer files between devices. Additionally, users can also preview their documents before opening them, and they can print photos and files directly from the phone.
MIUI 11 introduces new Mi Go feature with an extreme power-saving mode that is claimed to offers 24 hours of standby time with just 5 percent battery, currency converter, and more. It adds a new custom skin ‘Milan Pro’ font and the dynamic font scaling feature that automatically adjusts the boldness of the text depending on the content displayed.
