Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 7 (review) and Note 7 Pro back in February. Both the smartphones were available only via flash sales till now; however, the company has now announced the Redmi Note 7 would finally be available in an open sale format in the country starting April 17th at 12pm. It can be purchased from Flipkart, Mi.com, and Mi home stores. The Indian-variant of the Redmi Note 7 packs Snapdragon 660 SoC, dual-rear cameras, and runs on MIUI 10 based on Android 9.0 Pie.

The Redmi Note 7 price in India is set at Rs 9,999 and Rs 11,999 for the 3GB + 32GB and 4GB + 64GB variants, respectively. Interested buyers can head to Mi.com, Flipkart, and Mi Home stores to purchase the handset; Mi Preferred Partner stores will get the smartphone soon. Airtel customers will get 1,120GB of complementary data and free calling with the handset. Xiaomi is also bundling a free slim case and has also announced a new perforated case for the handset, priced at Rs 349.
Talking about the specifications, the Redmi Note 7 sports a 6.3-inch display with a waterdrop-style notch up top and full-HD+ resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on top. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset, accompanied by 4GB/ 6GB of RAM and support for up to 256GB expandable storage. The device runs on MIUI 10 based on Android 9.0 Pie out of the box.
In the camera department, Redmi Note 7 features a dual rear camera setup consisting of a 12MP primary sensor and a 2MP depth-sensing lenses with LED flash. For selfies and video calling, the handset gets a 13-megapixel sensor on the front. The handset employs a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, and connectivity options include hybrid dual-SIM slots, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C, 3.5mm headphone jack and GPS/ GLONASS. A 4,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support is onboard too.
