“Xiaomi has dropped the price of its latest offering by up to Rs 1,000 in the offline market in India”
Redmi Note 7 Pro, Redmi Note 7S, Redmi Y3, and Redmi 7 are the latest smartphones to get a price drop in India. Xiaomi has announced a permanent reduction of up to Rs 1,000 from the actual selling price of the handsets in the offline market. They now align with the selling price in the online market. The company’s latest budget offering Redmi 7 can now be fetched at Rs 7,499 instead of Rs 7,999 for the base 3GB RAM variant, while its 4GB RAM variant is available at Rs 8,499 — down from Rs 8,999. The Redmi Note 7 Pro, meanwhile, has received a price reduction of Rs 1,000 for the 6GB RAM + 64GB storage option and is now selling at Rs 14,999 instead of Rs 15,999.
The Redmi Y3 is available at Rs 8,999 instead of Rs 9,999, while the Redmi Note 7S will set you back to Rs 9,999 and Rs 11,999 for the 3GB RAM and 4GB RAM variants, respectively. They were earlier selling at Rs 10,999 and Rs 12,999. The price cut is applicable from today and interested buyers can head to Xiaomi authorised retail stores and Mi Home across the country to purchase the handsets.
All these smartphones were launched in the first half of the year, and the Redmi Note 7 Pro is the most premium of the lot. The handset packs Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 675 SoC and an impressive 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 primary camera aided by the 5-megapixel depth sensor. The Redmi Note 7S, on the other hand, is a slightly affordable variant of Redmi Note 7 Pro. It ships with an underclocked Snapdragon 660 SoC and 48-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL GM1 primary camera and the same 5-megapixel secondary depth sensor.
The Redmi Y3 is the company’s latest selfie-centric smartphone. The handset was launched in India back in April, and it comes with the 32-megapixel selfie camera, 4,000mAh battery, and a 6.26-inch dot-notch display. The Redmi 7 is a budget offering that packs Snapdragon 632 SoC, dual 12-megapixel + 2-megapixel AI camera at the back, 4,000mAh battery, and 6.26-inch HD+ display.
