“The Redmi Note 7 Pro launch is confirmed for later this week”
Ahead of the Redmi Note 7 Pro launch event this week, the handset has paid a visit to Chinese certification authority TENAA. The phone is slated to launch this week and we already know that it’ll feature a slightly better 48-megapixel sensor compared to its sibling the Redmi Note 7 (review). The certification listed has further revealed the rest of the details of the handset, including its design, display, battery, chipset, and configuration.
On the design front, the Redmi Note 7 Pro will have the same form factor as the standard Note 7. The back panel seems to have a gradient finish, with dual cameras at the top-right corner and fingerprint sensor at the centre. The fascia of the phone will likely be nearly all-display, with a small waterdrop notch for selfie camera. There seems to be nothing on the left spine, but the right edge of the phone is loaded with hardware buttons, such as the power button and volume rocker.
Redmi Note 7 Pro specifications
Coming to the specifications, the Redmi Note 7 Pro TENAA listing shows the smartphone will have the same 6.3-inch display as its sibling, likely with full-HD+ resolution. A 3,900mAh battery, dual SIM functionality, and dimensions of 159.21 x 75.21 x 8.1mm were also mentioned in the listing.
The phone will be powered by Snapdragon 675 chipset, paired with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage. As confirmed by the brand, the Redmi Note 7 Pro will sport a 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 sensor instead of Samsung ISOCELL Bright GM1 snapper. Sadly, the secondary sensor details along with the phone’s selfie shooter are not known at the moment; however, since the launch event is around the corner, we don’t have to wait for long. The Redmi Note 7 Pro price is expected to be less than RMB 2,000 (~Rs 21,000).
