XioamiUI had recently claimed the device will have a codename ‘biloba’ and it will come with a 48MP quad-camera setup. The smartphone may come in 4GB+64GB and 4GB+128GB storage variants. Unfortunately, that’s pretty much everything we so far know about the Redmi Note 8 (2021) but we hope to learn more information soon.
Redmi Note 8 specifications
The original Redmi Note 8 sports a 6.39-inch full HD+ display with 2,340 × 1,080 pixels resolution, Corning Gorilla Glass 5 layer, and 2.5D curved glass. It is powered by the Snapdragon 665 SoC with Adreno 610 GPU, up to 6GB RAM, and 128GB storage that is further expandable via microSD card. The phone runs on MIUI 10-based Android 9.0 Pie, packs a 4,000mAh battery with 18W fast-charging support and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor for security. The handset measures 158.3 x 75.3×8.35mm, weighs 190 grams, and P2i nano-coating.
Redmi Note 8 features a quad-camera setup consisting of a 48-megapixel (f/1.79) primary sensor, paired with an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor for portrait shots at the back. On the front, there is a 13MP snapper for selfies and video chats. Connectivity features include 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS/ GLONASS/ Beidou, and USB Type-C.
