Redmi Note 8 budget smartphone was launched back in October in Neptune Blue, Moonlight White, and Space Black colours. Now, after selling over 1-million units (including Redmi Note 8 Pro) in the country, the company has launched a new Cosmic Purple colour variant of Redmi Note 8 in India. This new model costs Rs 9,999 and will go on sale through Amazon.in, Mi.com, and Mi Home stores from November 29th. Apart from the new colour, the rest of the specifications should remain the same.

Redmi Note 8 specifications
Redmi Note 8 flaunts a 6.39-inch full HD+ display with 2,340 × 1,080 pixels resolution, Corning Gorilla Glass 5 layer and 2.5D curved glass. It is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 665 SoC with Adreno 610 GPU. It packs up to 6GB RAM and 128GB storage that is further expandable via microSD card. It runs on Android 9.0 Pie based on MIUI 10 and is scheduled to get MIUI 11 update. There is a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and face unlock for security. It measures 158.3 x 75.3×8.35mm, weighs 190 grams, and P2i nano-coating.
Redmi Note 8 rocks a quad-camera setup consisting of a 48-megapixel (f/1.79) primary sensor, paired with an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor for portrait shots at the back. On the front, there is a 13MP snapper for selfies and video chats. A 4,000mAh battery with 18W fast-charging support fuels the handset. Connectivity features include 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS/ GLONASS/ Beidou, and USB Type-C.
