Redmi Note 8 and Note 8 Pro smartphones were made official in China back on August 29th and now the brand announced that the Pro model sold over 300,000 units on its first sale in the country. The Redmi Note 8 Pro is available in three variants: 6GB RAM + 64GB, 6GB RAM + 128GB, and 8GB RAM + 128GB storage in Ice Jade, Fritillaria White, and Electro-optic Ash colour options. Of course, keeping with the previous Note series models, the handset is placed firmly in the affordable segment. The brand has already confirmed the Redmi Note 8 duo will not be launching in India in the next couple of months.

To jog your memory, the Redmi Note 8 Pro flaunts a 6.53-inch full-HD+ display with 2,340 x 1,080 pixels resolution with Corning Gorilla 5 layer and is powered by the MediaTek Helio G90T processor with 800MHz Mali-G76 3EEMC4 GPU. The Redmi Note 8 Pro runs Android 9.0 Pie with MIUI 10 custom skin on top. In terms of optics, the handset features quad rear camera setup consisting of a 64MP primary (f/1.8) sensor, an 8MP secondary ultra-wide-angle lens with 120-degree field of view, a 2MP depth sensor and 2MP macro lens.
On the front, the Redmi Note 8 Pro packs a 20MP sensor for selfies and video chats. The handset packs a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor for security, and it measures 161.37 x 76.4 x 8.79 mm and weighs 199.8 grams. Connectivity options include Dual 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS, NFC and USB Type-C port. A 4500mAh battery with 18W fast charging support fuels the phone.
