Of course, we can expect the handset to be up for grabs via Mi.com too, along with offline stores. The Redmi Note 8 Pro is eager awaited in the Indian market as it is the brand’s first 64MP phone. It has quad camera setup on the back as well as the MediaTek Helio G90T SoC and takes on the Realme XT. Of course, the biggest draw from the October 16th launch will be the Redmi Note 8 Pro price in India considering all the specifications are known; it starts at RMB 1,399 (around Rs 14,000) in China. To recall the Redmi Note 8 Pro specifications, it sports a 6.53-inch full-HD+ display with a waterdrop notch to accommodate the selfie camera. It is powered by a 2GHz MediaTek Helio G90T processor with HyperEngine tech for gaming sessions. The handset packs up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB storage that is further expandable. The Redmi Note 8 Pro runs on Android 9.0 Pie with MIUI 10 custom skin on top, and it houses a 4,500mAh battery with 18W fast-charging support.
As for the camera, the quad-camera setup consisting of a 64-megapixel (f/1.7) primary sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle sensor, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro lens. The Redmi Note 8 Pro supports up to 25x zoom and 8K video recording. It has a 20-megapixel shooter on the front for selfies and video chats. There is a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner for security. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS + GLONASS, NFC, and USB Type-C.
