“The Redmi Note 8 Pro is expected to be the world’s first 64MP quad-camera phone”
The Redmi Note 8 Pro has been officially teased to launch on August 29th. We’ve already seen the rear of the handset, revealing the camera array among other things. However, its front panel has remained a mystery. Until now that is. A new set of leaked images showcase the front design of the Note 8 Pro. We also stumbled upon a couple of images of the White colour variant of the handset, which has been leaked before. The official teaser has already confirmed that the Redmi Note 8 Pro will feature a Green colour.
Coming to the leaked images, the front panel is likely to house a teardrop notch up top. It would have been nice if the brand went with a punch-hole design, but it seems that it chose to play it safe. What’s good however is that the Aura Prime design introduced with K20 series is making way to the Redmi Note series for the first time. We’re also getting a White colourway of the handset similar to the new Honey White version on the K20 Pro.
Current information has made it clear that the Redmi Note 8 Pro is likely to feature a MediaTek Helio G90T processor which is a big move away from the norm as the Redmi Note series mostly utilises a Qualcomm Snapdragon series SoC. The Redmi Note 8 on the other hand, could end up with the same processor as the Mi A3, although this hasn’t been confirmed. That said, the headline-grabber for the Note 8 Pro will be the 64MP shooter on the rear as it’s expected to be the first handset in the world to do so. Other leaked features include 18W fast charging, NFC, and IR Blaster.
The launch will take place next week, so sit tight as we will definitely see more leaks in the meantime before getting to see it officially.
