“The Redmi Note 8 Pro design shares a striking resemblance to the recently launched Redmi K20 and K20 Pro”
Redmi Note 8 Pro mid-range smartphone is said to be in the works for a while now, and it looks like the launch is inching closer as a couple of live images of the handset surfaced online, courtesy of Xiaomishka. The Redmi Note 8 Pro images leaked from what looks like a TV commercial filming. The design shares a striking resemblance to the recently launched Redmi K20 and K20 Pro. These images reveal triple rear cameras and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor for security. It’s possible Redmi Note 8 Pro could use a similar setup as the Redmi K20.
The Redmi Note 8 Pro is seen in a new green colour option, but it should also be made available in black, red, and blue colours as well. Since this is the first time the Redmi Note 8 Pro has made its public appearance, details regarding its specifications aren’t revealed. It’s possible the handset could rock a 64MP primary rear camera, be powered by the Snapdragon 700 series chipset and pack a massive battery. It could run on Android 9.0 Pie with MIUI 10 on top. It isn’t clear if the Note 8 Pro would adopt a pop-up selfie design like the competition or embrace the notch for the selfie snapper. We should know more details in the coming days.
Apart from Note 8 Pro, Redmi is also readying the Redmi 8A and Redmi 8 Pro devices as well. The live images of Redmi 8A leaked recently. The handset is said to be powered by the Snapdragon 439 SoC, 4GB RAM, 64GB internal storage and packs a massive 5,000mAh battery. It’s said to come with a waterdrop notch to accommodate the selfie snapper. Notably, the Xiaomi sub-brand shared a teaser in China that says there will be an official announcement regarding the Redmi Note 8 in China tomorrow.
