“Android 10 update for Redmi Note 8 Pro, Redmi Note 7, Mi Mix 3, and more brings enhanced dark mode, new gesture navigation and more”
Xiaomi is rolling out Android 10-based MIUI 11 update to Redmi Note 8 Pro, Redmi Note 7, Mi MIX 3, Mi 9 SE and Mi 8 SE in China. The company already completed MIUI 11 roll-out to all 27 supported devices and had also rolled out the Android 10 update to Redmi K20 recently and Redmi K20 Pro back in September. While Xiaomi announced the MIUI 11 update roadmap for phones in China, it is yet to reveal the Android 10 roadmap for MIUI Global ROM. Since Xiaomi cancelled the MIUI Global Beta ROM program last year, the phones should receive stable update directly.

The Android 10 update for Redmi Note 8 Pro, Redmi Note 7, Mi Mix 3, and more brings enhanced dark mode, revamped permission controls, quick replies for messaging apps, new gesture navigation and more. Users of the aforementioned phones can check for the update in Settings in the About Phone section, and if you haven’t received it yet, you can download the ZIP file and manually flash it. However, you will have to use a custom recovery, for which we advise you to proceed only if you’re aware of the process. Considering these are early builds of the software, there might be bugs and unexpected crashes.
