“Xiaomi has launched the Ocean Blue colour version of the Redmi Note 8 Pro globally”
After launching a 256GB storage variant in China, Xiaomi has announced a new colour version of the Redmi Note 8 Pro. The latest handset in the lineup now comes with Ocean Blue paint job. The company made the announcement via its official account on Twitter. The new Redmi Note 8 Pro Ocean Blue colour option joins the Shadow Black, Gamma Green, and Halo White hues, which were introduced at the time of the launch, and the Dark Sea Blue hue that was announced recently. Xiaomi is yet to announce the release date and price for the new Redmi Note 8 Pro colour variant.
Redmi Note 8 Pro specifications
The new colour variant of the Redmi Note 8 has the same specifications as the previous ones. The handset boots MIUI 11 with Android 9 Pie out of the box to take care of the software side of things. The phone packs a 6.53-inch full-HD+ (1080 x 2340 pixels) HDR display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio and dot notch up top that houses the selfie camera. At its core lies MediaTek’s gaming-centric Helio G90T octa-core chipset, paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB storage (128GB in India).
In the camera department, the Redmi Note 8 Pro sports 64-megapixel quad-camera setup at the back. The primary sensor is Samsung’s GW1 shooter, which is paired with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro lens. As for selfies, the phone is equipped with a 20-megapixel shooter on the front. The smartphone is driven by a mammoth 4,500mAh battery with 18W fast-charging support. In terms of connectivity, you get Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, IR blaster, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Lastly, the Redmi Note 8 Pro sports a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.
