Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro smartphones were launched back in October and are available through Amazon.in and Mi.com via flash sales. Similarly, the Redmi 8 was also available through flash sales on Flipkart and Mi.com. However, that changes today as the company has finally announced the handsets would be available 24×7 starting today via the respective platforms and retail outlets across the country. To recall, the Redmi Note 8 Pro price in India is Rs 14,999 for the 6GB + 64GB, Rs 15,999 for the 6GB + 128GB and Rs 17,999 for the 8GB + 128GB model. The Redmi Note 8, on the other hand, costs Rs 9,999 and Rs 12,999 for the 4GB + 64GB and 6GB + 128GB variants, respectively. Lastly, the Redmi 8 is priced at Rs 7,999.

To recall, the Redmi Note 8 flaunts a 6.39-inch full HD+ display with 2,340 × 1,080 pixels resolution. It is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 665 SoC with Adreno 610 GPU. The smartphone packs up to 6GB RAM and 128GB storage that is further expandable via microSD card. It runs on Android 9.0 Pie based on MIUI 11. In terms of optics, the Redmi Note 8 Pro features a 64-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel 120-degree ultra-wide-angle lens, 2-megapixel depth sensor, and a 2-megapixel Macro lens. There is a 20-megapixel snapper on the front for selfies and video chats. A 4,500mAh battery 18W fast charging support fuels the handset.

The Redmi 8 packs a traditional fingerprint sensor at the back for security. In terms of optics, the Redmi 8 rocks dual-cameras consisting of a 12MP primary sensor with LED flash, and a 2MP secondary camera. There is an 8MP snapper on the front for selfies.
