Redmi Note 8 Pro, Redmi Note 8, and Redmi 8 go on open sale in India

Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro smartphones were launched back in October and are available through Amazon.in and Mi.com via flash sales. Similarly, the Redmi 8 was also available through flash sales on Flipkart and Mi.com. However, that changes today as the company has finally announced the handsets would be available 24×7 starting today via the respective platforms and retail outlets across the country. To recall, the Redmi Note 8 Pro price in India is Rs 14,999 for the 6GB + 64GB, Rs 15,999 for the 6GB + 128GB and Rs 17,999 for the 8GB + 128GB model. The Redmi Note 8, on the other hand, costs Rs 9,999 and Rs 12,999 for the 4GB + 64GB and 6GB + 128GB variants, respectively. Lastly, the Redmi 8 is priced at Rs 7,999.

To recall, the Redmi Note 8 flaunts a 6.39-inch full HD+ display with 2,340 × 1,080 pixels resolution. It is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 665 SoC with Adreno 610 GPU. The smartphone packs up to 6GB RAM and 128GB storage that is further expandable via microSD card. It runs on Android 9.0 Pie based on MIUI 11. There is a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and face unlock for security. Redmi Note 8 rocks a quad-camera setup consisting of a 48-megapixel (f/1.79) primary sensor, paired with an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor for portrait shots at the back. On the front, there is a 13MP snapper for selfies and video chats. A 4,000mAh battery with 18W fast-charging support fuels the handset.

The Redmi Note 8 Pro flaunts a 6.53-inch full HD+ display with HDR support and 91.4 percent screen-to-body ratio. It is powered by the MediaTek Helio G90T SoC with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB storage that is further expandable via a microSD card. The handset runs on Android 9.0 Pie with MIUI 11 custom skin. In terms of optics, the Redmi Note 8 Pro features a 64-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel 120-degree ultra-wide-angle lens, 2-megapixel depth sensor, and a 2-megapixel Macro lens. There is a 20-megapixel snapper on the front for selfies and video chats. A 4,500mAh battery 18W fast charging support fuels the handset.

Redmi 8 sport a 6.22-inch HD+ IPS display with 19:9 aspect ratio, 720 x 1,520 pixels resolution, and Gorilla Glass 5 layer. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 SoC coupled with Adreno 505 GPU, 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. The handset runs on Android 9.0 Pie with MIUI custom skin on top. The Redmi 8 packs a traditional fingerprint sensor at the back for security. In terms of optics, the Redmi 8 rocks dual-cameras consisting of a 12MP primary sensor with LED flash, and a 2MP secondary camera. There is an 8MP snapper on the front for selfies. A 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast-charging support fuels the handset.
