Redmi Note 8, which was launched in China last month, is currently available in three variants: 4GB RAM + 64GB, 6GB RAM + 64GB, and 6GB RAM + 128GB storage. However, a new TENAA listing suggests there could be one variant with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage coming soon. There’s also a microSD card slot for further memory expansion. However, the rest of the specifications should remain unchanged. Unfortunately, details regarding its launch and availability timelines aren’t immediately clear just yet. Redmi Note 8 specifications
Redmi Note 8 mid-range phone features a 6.39-inch full-HD+ display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 layer on top. It is powered by a 2GHz octa-core Snapdragon 665 11nm processor with Adreno 601 GPU. The handset runs on Android 9.0 Pie with MUI 10 custom skin on top. In terms of optics, the Redmi Note 8 features a quad camera setup consisting of a 48-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL GM2 primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2MP depth sensor, and lastly, a 2MP macro lens.
On the front, there is a 13MP snapper for selfies and video chats. The Redmi Note 8 measures 158.3 x 75.3×8.35mm and Weighs 190 grams. There is a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor for security and IR sensor. The handset comes with Splash proof (P2i nano-coating). Connectivity features include 4G VoLTE, dual-band WiFi 802.11, Bluetooth 5, GPS/ GLONASS/ Beidou, and USB Type-C. A 4,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support fuels the phone. The handset is available in Black, Blue and White colour options.
