The Redmi Note 8 series could be expanded with a new variant the Redmi Note 8T shortly in China. The recent Redmi Note 8T leaked live images revealed it would pack the same 6.3-inch display with Dot notch for the front camera and Gorilla Glass, a 4,000mAh battery, and 48MP quad-camera setup with LED flash. Now, the Redmi Note 8T NFC support is yet again reiterated, thanks to the NCC Certification in Taiwan. The listing also reveals the charger model number as MDY-10-ED, which is 18W fast-charging that supports 5V / 3A, 9V / 2A, 12V / 1.5A output.

Redmi Note 8T NFC

In terms of design, the Redmi Note 8T is said to be quite similar to the standard Redmi Note 8. This means it’ll have a glass back with a vertically-arranged quad-camera setup, and a centre-aligned fingerprint scanner. However, the gradient finish is slightly different from the vanilla Redmi Note 8. The Redmi Note 8T could also ship with the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC coupled with up to 6GB RAM and up to 128GB storage that should be further expandable via microSD card slot.

While the exact optic details about the Redmi Note 8T aren’t out yet, its younger sibling Redmi Note 8 rocks a 48-megapixel primary camera, paired with 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor at the back. On the front, there is a 13MP snapper for selfies and video chats. It packs a 4,000mAh battery with 18W fast-charging support and runs on MIUI 10 based on Android 9.0 Pie out of the box.
