Redmi Note 9 5G series launch was tipped for November, but Xiaomi is yet to announce an official launch date. The Redmi Note 9 5G and Note 9 5G Pro specifications and prices have already leaked out, suggesting their imminent launch in China. The phones were previously expected to go official last week on ‘Singles Day’, but that didn’t happen. Now, according to a tipster on Weibo, the Redmi Note 9 5G series launch will take place next Tuesday i.e November 24th. The series is said to comprise of at least two models — Redmi Note 9 5G and a high-end model that is speculated to be a rebrand of the Mi 10T Lite.

Redmi Note 9 5G price is said to start at RMB 1,000 (around Rs 11,200) for the base model, while the Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G price is tipped to be RMB 1,500 (around Rs 16,800).

According to the leaked Redmi Note 9 5G specs, the phone is said to come with a 6.53-inch FHD+ punch-hole display, MediaTek Dimensity 800U, and triple cameras with a 48MP primary sensor. It is tipped to have a 13MP sensor on the front for selfies and video chats and measure 161.96×77.25×9.20mm, and weigh 200 grams.

Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G specifications leaked so far suggest it is a rebranded Mi 10T Lite. The phone is said to sport a 6.67-inch FHD+ LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, and AdaptiveSync feature. It will be powered by the Snapdragon 750G SoC and run Android 10-based MIUI 12 custom skin on top. As for the optics, the Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G is said to have a 108MP Samsung ISOCELL HM2 sensor and a 16MP front-facing camera. The phone should house a 4,820mAh battery and support 33W fast-charging.
