Redmi Note 9 Pro Max will finally go on sale for the first time in India on May 12th, Xiaomi has announced on its official website. To recall, the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max first flash sale was supposed to happen on March 25th, but the coronavirus lockdown forced the company to postpone the sale. Meanwhile, the regular Redmi Note 9 Pro has gone on sale a few times now. The ‘Max’ variant will be up for grabs on May 12th starting 12 PM IST on Mi.com. There is no confirmation yet on whether the phone will go on sale on Amazon India on May 12th.

Redmi Note 9 Pro Max price in India

Redmi Note 9 Pro Max India prices start from Rs 16,499 following the price increase after the GST rate hike. This is the price for the base model with 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. The Redmi Note 9 Pro Max also comes in 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 128GB variants that are priced at Rs 17,999 and Rs 19,999, respectively. The smartphone will be available in Aurora Blue, Glacier White and Interstellar Black colours.

You should note that Xiaomi will only accept orders and make deliveries in Green and Orange zones in India. Deliveries may also take longer than usual due to local restrictions.

Redmi Note 9 Pro Max specifications

Redmi Note 9 Pro Max sports a 6.67-inch FHD+ (1080×2400) DotDisplay with 450 nits peak brightness and Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon 720G mid-range processor paired with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. The Redmi Note 9 Pro Max runs on Android 10-based MIUI 11. It houses a 5,020mAh battery and comes with a 33W fast charger in the box.

The Redmi Note 9 Pro Max also touts a quad camera setup that includes a 64MP main camera, an 8MP wide-angle lens, a 5MP macro lens and a 2MP depth sensor. Up front, the phone gets a 32MP selfie camera. The phone comes with a triple card slot for two SIM cards and a microSD card (up to 512GB). Connectivity options include VoWiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band support, and dual SIM VoLTE HD calling.
