    Redmi Note 9T 5G global launch seems to be around the corner now that the smartphone has received the TUV Rheinland certification. The device with model number M2007J22G was spotted on the certification site by prolific tipster Mukul Sharma. The Redmi Note 9T 5G moniker was recently confirmed via the NBTC certification and speculations are rife the phone could be a rebrand of the Redmi Note 9 5G that was launched in China recently. If that’s true, we can speculate some of the Redmi Note 9T 5G specs. The smartphone may come with a 6.53-inch FHD+ IPS LCD display, MediaTek Dimensity 800U SoC, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security.

Redmi Note 9T 5G

To recall, the Redmi Note 9 5G that was launched in China features a 6.53-inch FHD+ IPS LCD display with a punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera and 60Hz refresh rate. The phone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 800U SoC coupled with up to 8GB RAM and up to 256GB storage that is further expandable via a microSD card slot. It runs on Android-10 based MIUI 12 out of the box. Connectivity features include 5G, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and USB Type-C port for charging and data sync.

As for the cameras, the Redmi Note 9 5G has triple cameras at the back comprising of a 48MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP depth snapper. On the front, there is a 13MP snapper for selfies and video chats. The handset packs a 5,000mAh battery with possible fast-charging support. The Redmi Note 5G measures 161.96mm × 77.25mm × 9.20mm and weighs 200 grams. The phone is priced at RMB 1299 (approx Rs 14,600) for the base model. With the Redmi Note 9T receiving the TUV Rheinland certification, it won’t be long before the global launch takes place.
