To watch the Reliance AGM 2022 live, viewers can tune in to the live stream through the company’s own JioMeet platform. You can watch the AGM online via this link. The Reliance AGM 2022 will begin at 2:00 pm. If you are a shareholder of the company, click on the right tab, while the left tab is for all other viewers. Note that you will only be able to join the AGM 30 minutes before it is scheduled to begin.
Reliance also typically streams its AGMs via its YouTube channel, called ‘Reliance Updates’ (formerly ‘The Flame of Truth’). While it is not clear if this year’s AGM would be streamed here as well, you should keep an eye on this space as well.
Reliance AGM 2022: what to expect/
At the centre of all expectations for Reliance Jio at the company’s AGM will be 5G. Reliance is likely to offer some updates on its 5G rollout plans. The company has already offered an outline of how the 5G rollout will be phased across India, starting with 22 cities in the first phase. At the AGM, this may be further detailed on.
Also expected are announcements on various applications that Jio may build atop its 5G services. The company also sells its own mobile phones, such as the Jio Phone and Jio Phone Next. Back in 2020, Ambani announced that it was partnering with Google to launch an affordable 5G smartphone. We expect to learn more about the Jio Phone 5G launch date in India and its features today.
Finally, the AGM may also offer clues in terms of when might Reliance Jio’s initial public offering (IPO) be rolled out. The Jio IPO will see the company being traded as an independent public entity, thereby completely pivoting the unit from a Reliance product, to a standalone company in itself.
