Reliance Jio launches coronavirus symptoms checker amidst pan-India lockdown

“The Jio coronavirus symptoms check tool consists of a questionnaire that will help determine whether you at risk”

A Reliance Jio coronavirus symptom checker tool has been launched amidst the lockdown in the country to help users curb fake information and not create panic. The new Jio coronavirus symptoms tool consists of a questionnaire that has questions about gender, age group, current health condition, travel history in the last 14 days, contact with Covid-19 confirmed patient, and visible symptoms like cold, cough, and fever. Based on the results, the potential risk of coronavirus risk — high, moderate or low — is determined. Additionally, users can take the test for themselves, parents, spouse, or a child.

Furthermore, Reliance Jio clarifies that the risk factor is measured based on the current understanding of the disease. “This is based on the current understanding of the disease which is subject to change. Please do consult the doctor and take their advice in case you are not feeling well,” the webpage notes. It also includes a FAQ section for a better understanding of the coronavirus and has links to the ICMR guidelines on testing.

Earlier this week, Jio has introduced ‘Coronavirus info and tool’ feature in the MyJio app that, as the name suggests, it offers information regarding the virus and its spread. It contains details regarding the test centres, FAQs, and more. The telecom network had also announced a free 10Mbps basic broadband connection for new users and revised the existing 4G data booster packs to include double data and IUC minutes.
